Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has been saving lives across the local community for 25 years, bringing the hospital to the patient when every second counts.

The enhanced skills of our team, alongside the specialist equipment and drugs we carry, combined with the speed of our response, are often the difference between life and death.

Our highly skilled pilots, critical care practitioners and doctors are operational for 19 hours a day (7.00am–2.00am), 365 days a year.

The care that we provide is only made possible because of people like you, as every mission and every life saved is funded by donations. Without this support, our service would not exist.

In 2016, we were tasked 800 times. Last year, it was nearly 3,000. As demand for our service has increased, so too have our operational costs. With each mission costing around £3,500, your support ensures we can always be ready to respond, whenever and wherever we are needed, and help to save lives.
